Contractor shall submit work & sequencing plan to install PRV off center from existing main (for example: set PRV, prep bends, thrust blocks, pipe joint connections and restraint back to main, perform outage, install tees and gate valves, thrust blocks and restraint to existing main, connect to existing water, perform start-up of PRV in coordination with Pipestone, disinfection testing in coordination with Public Works (approximately 60' of new pipe install), perform outage, cut and cap existing 10-inch DIP. a. (East connection - Pressure Class 350): Install approximately 20-LF DIP and two (2) 45-degree DIP bends inclusive of mechanical joints, mega lugs, all-thread, concrete thrust blocks, 10-inch gate valve FLG x FLG, and 10x10 tee on existing main. b. (West connection - Pressure Class 250): Install approximately 20-LF DIP and two (2) 45-degree DIP bends inclusive of mechanical joints, mega lugs, all-thread, concrete thrust blocks 10-inch FLGxFLG gate valve, and 10x10x10x8 cross on existing main. 2. Water Outage Impacted Customers: Sunnyside, Hillside, Eider Creek, and TRWWTP 3. PRV inlet is east side of new vault. 4. PRV outlet is on the west side of new vault. 5. Contractor shall coordinate a workday (or late night) outage for DIP HP water main in coordination with Public Works to provide 72- hour notice to impacted customers. 6. Contractor must propose means and methods prior to start of work and is limited to a water outage that does not exceed six (6) hours total in any 24-hour period. 7. Contractor shall perform a soil proctor test prior to backfill and thrust block activities. Allow 7-10 days for optimum density & moisture lab results. 90% compaction is needed in a green space. 8.
