Sealed proposals are requested for the installation of 5 new modular classrooms at Cedar Bluff High School for Cherokee County Schools in Cedar Bluff, Alabama. General contractors must visit the site to examine all existing conditions prior to submitting a proposal, with site visits arranged by the contractor with the school. The project is to be bid excluding taxes, and bids must be submitted on proposal forms provided by the architect or copies thereof. Bidders are not allowed to withdraw their bid within ninety days after submission. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if deemed in the owner's interest. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to Cherokee County Schools, not less than five percent of the bid amount, with a maximum of $10,000. Performance and payment bonds will be required upon contract signing. Bidders exceeding certain amounts must be licensed under Alabama law and display their license number on the sealed envelope. Project documents are available for review and printing online. Addenda will be provided only to entities confirmed as bidders. Print sets requested from the architect must be returned in reusable condition within ten days after bid opening.
