Sealed bids are solicited for supplying various materials to Pocono Township. The materials and estimated quantities include 2A, DGA Crushed Stone, Cold Patch QPR High Performance, several types and sizes of crushed stone (#57, #28, #3, Ballast, SP Surge, 2RC, R-3 to R-7 Gabion, etc.) and asphalt (9.5mm, 19mm, 25mm pg64s-22 of various gradations), as well as tack oil. Quantities are specified for both FOB (freight on board) pickup and delivery to locations within Pocono Township. All materials must conform to PennDOT Pub. 408 Specifications. Material unit prices are to be quoted for both FOB pickup at the plant and delivered from the quarry. Quantities listed are approximate and may vary. Bid proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes marked accordingly, using PennDOT Form MS-963, accompanied by a bid bond or certified check for 10% of the bid amount and a certificate of insurance naming the township as additional insured. The awarded bidder(s) must provide a 100% performance bond within 20 days of the contract award. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to award the contract to one or multiple bidders, based on material costs, distance to quarry or plant, and overall cost to the Township.
