Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Belvidere, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
Bids are requested for a single contract including general work, re-roofing work, HVAC work, and electrical work for the Community Building Complex of Boone County. All prospective general contractors are required, and subcontractors are invited, to attend a pre-bid meeting at the project site. Prospective general contractors are also required to inspect the existing conditions at the project site prior to submitting a bid. Bids must be submitted in duplicate on forms issued by the architect and must be accompanied by a bid security of at least 5% of the total amount of the base bid and all additive alternate bids. Performance and payment bonds are required. Each worker and mechanic must be paid the prevailing wage rate for the locality as per federal, state, and local laws. The Community Building Complex Committee of Boone County is a tax-exempt entity. The owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities or reject any or all bids as deemed to serve the best interests of the owner. No bid may be withdrawn for 60 days after the opening without written consent of the owner.
