Bids are requested for the following work: site work, foundations and slab, pre-engineered metal building, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical. Bidders must submit bids in accordance with the provided instructions. The required scope includes all related work as described for the Stanton Public Safety Complex Phase 1 at 21 South Main St, Stanton, TN 38069. Bidders must submit a copy of their Affidavit and Certified Application for the Tennessee Drug Free Workplace Program in a separate envelope attached to the outside of the bid envelope. The bid envelope will not be opened unless this requirement is met. A certified check, bank draft payable to The Town of Stanton, U.S. Government bonds, or a bid bond of five percent of the bid must be included with each bid. Bidders are required to comply with the General Licensing Act of 1976 and T.C.A. 62-6-119 of 1994. Masonry subcontractors must be licensed with an LMC classification for masonry portions of $100,000 or more. All bidders must be properly licensed and able to obtain required insurance and bonds. A performance bond, separate labor and material payment bond, and insurance in forms acceptable to the Owner will be required from the successful bidder. Payments for contract documents, specifications, and plans are non-refundable. The Town of Stanton reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive any informality in the bidding. Questions from bidders must be directed to the Engineer or Owner as soon as possible to allow sufficient time for preparation and distribution of addenda.
