Site work and new construction of a transportation facility in Columbus, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the construction of a transportation facility.

Work involves the Fuel Farm Expansion project at the Golden Triangle Regional Airport, including the installation of a new 12,000-gallon fuel tank for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The project includes installing a concrete pad for the new tank, associated items such as piping, electrical circuitry, and necessary testing for acceptance of the new fuel tank. The concrete drive used by fueling trucks will also be extended. All work must be completed in accordance with current FAA design requirements or local county regulations, whichever is more stringent, and follow the Construction Plans, Technical Specifications, Proposals, and Special Provisions under the supervision and satisfaction of the Owner and in accordance with Mississippi state laws. Contractors must be qualified and registered with Mississippi as licensed general contractors with a current certificate of responsibility. Non-resident contractors must have Mississippi registration and a certificate of responsibility in effect on the bid opening day. Each bidder must deposit a Bid Bond or Certified Check equal to five percent (5%) of their bid. The successful bidder must provide a Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract. The contractor is responsible for public safety and must be familiar with traffic control requirements in work zones, with temporary signage, barricades, and markings compliant with the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Bid documents are available by registering at www.neel-schafferplans.com, and electronic bids must be uploaded as PDF format through the same portal. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in the best interest of the Owner. Bidders are required to use the Standard Form of Bid Proposal and, if successful, execute the Standard Form of Contract and Agreement. Bids must remain valid for sixty (60) calendar days after the scheduled closing time. The Owner ensures full and fair opportunity for disadvantaged business enterprises and will not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, creed, sex, age, or disability in consideration for an award.
