This project will complete the Poka-Bache Trail within the City of Angola, covering approximately 1.2 miles and finalizing the city's portion of the IDNR state visionary trail. The trail begins at the southern corporate limits along the west side of Old US 27 and ends at Common's Park, connecting to the existing Poka-Bache trail segment. The proposed trail typically consists of a 10-foot wide HMA surface, associated pedestrian crossings, driveway reconstruction, and stormwater ditch and infrastructure upgrades. The project also includes a new pedestrian crossing directly north of W 150 S. The southern end of the project will connect to Steuben County's ongoing trail project. The work is partially funded with Next Level Trails funds through the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. Instructions to bidders include: - Sealed bids are to be submitted as specified. - Bidding documents are available electronically from the engineer's office, and only those on the Planholders List will receive addenda and have bids accepted. - Each bid must include a certified check or bid bond equal to 10% of the total bid price from a qualified surety company. - The awarded contractor must provide both a Performance Bond and Payment Bond each for 100% of the contract price. - Bidders must complete Indiana Standard Questionnaire Form 96 (latest version) with attached financial statement. - Additional requirements on bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and award are detailed in the Instructions to Bidders found within the Bidding Documents.
