Site work and new construction of a transportation facility in Murdo, South Dakota. Completed plans call for the construction of a transportation facility.
The proposed work includes the construction of airport improvements at Murdo Municipal Airport in Murdo, South Dakota. Specifically, the work involves constructing an Airport Electrical Vault Building, Windcone, Supplemental Windcone, and Beacon. Bidders must submit their bids online via the Quest CDN vBid platform. Each bid exceeding $100,000.00 requires a bid security, either as a bid bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid price or as a certified check, cashier's check, or draft for five percent (5%) of the maximum bid price, made payable to the City of Murdo. Certified checks, cashier's checks, or drafts must be delivered via Certified Mail to the Engineer before the bid deadline and an electronic copy uploaded to QuestCDN. The successful bidder must furnish a Contract Performance Bond, a Payment Bond for the full amount of the contract, and proof of Contractor's Excise Tax License. All bidders are required to comply with federal requirements, including but not limited to Buy American Preferences, Civil Rights assurances, Davis Bacon Requirements, Debarment and Suspension, Lobbying Federal Employees, and Procurement of Recovered Materials. The contract is also subject to requirements outlined in the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act and regulations pertaining to Disadvantaged Business Enterprises. Bidders must submit information on DBE participation within five days after bid opening. The City of Murdo reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive defects, and accept bids deemed in the public interest, as well as to reject the bid of any party who has been delinquent or unfaithful in the performance of any previous contract with the Owner.
