The Tennyson AML Land Reclamation Project (TALRP) consists of approximately 18 acres of abandoned coal mine land in Callaway County that was mined prior to the advent of mining regulations. The TALRP is located near the southern limits of the Town of Fulton, in the NW/4, S-29 and SW/4, S-20, T47N, R09W. The project also includes a coal waste (gob) pile located in the NE/4, S-19, T47N, R09W. The area affected by mining is owned by several different landowners, including the Town of Fulton, Westminster College, and three private landowners. Priority features identified by the Land Reclamation Program (LRP) at the TALRP are both safety and environmentally related and include, but are not limited to; Hazardous Water Bodies, Dangerous Piles and/or Embankments, and Spoils Areas. It is the intent of OA/FMDC and LRP to remedy the environmental and safety concerns at this site and provide the impacted landowners with functioning areas for agriculture and/or businesses. Reclamation activities include, but are not limited to, clearing and grubbing, excavation and grading mine spoil; backfill abandoned coal mine pits and ponds; extending drainage structures; embankment construction, grade, excavate, relocated and covering coal waste (gob), the application and incorporation of agricultural lime, seed, fertilize and mulch all work areas, and other related work, all in accordance with the enclosed plans and specifications. MBE/WBE/SDVE Goals: MBE 10%, WBE 10%, and SDVE 3%. NOTE: Only MBE/WBE firms certified by the State of Missouri Office of Equal Opportunity as of the date of bid opening, or SDVE(s) meeting the requirements of Section 34.074, RSMo and 1 CSR 30-5.010, can be used to satisfy the MBE/WBE/SDVE participation goals for this project Document Note: Refunds: Return plans and specifications in unmarked condition within 15 working days of bid opening to American Document Solutions, 1400 Forum Blvd., Suite 7A, Columbia, Missouri 65203. Phone 573-446-7768, Fax 573-355-5433. Deposits for plans not returned within 15 working days shall be forfeited. The State reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities in bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 20 working days subsequent to the specified bid opening time. The contractor shall pay not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages for work of a similar character in the locality in which the work is performed, as determined by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations and as set out in the detailed plans and specifications. Question Deadline 05/14/2026 Bidders shall make all requests for interpretations in writing and submit all requests to the Project Designer and Project Manager no less than five (5) working days before opening of bids.
