The City of DeSoto, Texas is seeking a qualified contractor to construct the Nance Farm Cultural Arts Center, project number RFB-DEA-2601 and is advertising this Request for Bids. The Contractor shall supply all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the work in accordance with these specifications and plans. Before bidding on the project, bidders are expected to inspect all the sites of the work and to inform themselves regarding all site, utility, and roadway conditions. The Contractor will be required to coordinate construction activities with the City. All work shall conform to City of DeSoto construction standards and in accordance with the contract drawings and specification documents. Work of this Project is described as the exterior and interior restoration of the Nance Farm Main House and Milking Barn, accessibility improvements, structural repairs, MEP improvements and site improvements. The property will operate as a cultural center for the City of DeSoto, Texas. The prime Architect is designing a new building and site improvements. The Project will be constructed under a single prime contract Bids must include line items and will be awarded on a lump sum basis. Categories of work include industrial, commercial, institutional, and specialty trade construction, as well as site preparation and building finishing. A Bid Bond of 5.00% is required, along with 100.00% Payment and Performance Bonds. Bids should be submitted in paper format. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled, but attendance is not required.
