Sealed proposals are requested for the HVAC Replacement at Ashland Elementary School, Ashland, Alabama. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the site. All bidders must attend this meeting. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check or bid bond payable to Clay County Board of Education in an amount not less than five percent of the bid, but no more than $10,000. Performance and payment bonds, as well as evidence of insurance, are required at contract signing. Bids must use proposal forms furnished by the engineer or copies thereof. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding those established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, with the current license number displayed on the outside of the sealed envelope containing the proposal. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the owner's judgment, the best interests of the owner will be promoted.
