This project is in the City of Belleville, St. Clair County, Illinois. This project includes seventeen (17) curb ramp reconstructions, traffic control, resurfacing, and pavement marking along West Main Street, beginning near West A Street and extending to just east of North 1st Street. This is the BASE BID work. Within the West Main Street section mentioned above, imprinting of crosswalks is included as an additive bid entitled BID 1 work. Similar curb ramp reconstruction (twelve (12)), resurfacing, traffic control, and pavement marking along West A Street, beginning at North 3rd Street and extending to a point east of North 1st, and west of IL 159 entails BID 2 work. Resurfacing, traffic control, and pavement marking along South and North 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Streets extending from points north of West Washington Street to points north of West A Street entail BID 3 work The Contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the project in accordance with the plans, specifications, provisions stated herein, and to the satisfaction of the CITY ENGINEER. Any and all firms and/or persons entering into a contract agreement with the City of Belleville shall be subject to and required to comply with all applicable local, State and Federal requirements. In particular non-discriminatory equal employment opportunity and affirmative action on public contracts. Any and all contract agreements shall be in conformance with the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq). Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act (30 ILCS 570/0.01), and the City of Belleville's Project Labor Agreement.
