Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Monticello, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project.
Work includes construction of new raw water mains connecting existing municipal wells to a new water treatment plant, with a combination of 24-inch and 18-inch mains crossing railroad tracks and Interstate 94, and associated appurtenances. The project includes construction of a new 10-MGD water treatment plant, expandable to 16 MGD, featuring forced draft aeration, detention basins, gravity filtration systems, chemical storage and feed systems, chlorine scrubbing, clearwell storage, high service pumping facilities, backwash and reclaim systems, and blower systems for air scour backwashing. Additional work includes administration and operations spaces, electrical and mechanical systems, instrumentation and controls, emergency backup power, garage and workshop facilities, and comprehensive site improvements. The scope also includes effluent piping connections to existing trunk water mains, modifications to existing municipal wells, and potential upgrades to the existing on-site reservoir to support system operations.
