The project consists of the construction of two (2) full-size soccer fields, a parking lot, and a walking path connection to the existing baseball fields, including all associated grading, sod installation, and establishment. Project Parameters o Soccer Fields: Two (2) fields approximately 360 ft x 225 ft each o Parking Lot: Approximately 60 spaces o Walking Path: 8-10 ft wide connection Contractors shall base bids on these parameters. Scope of Work The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the following: A. Earthwork and Field Preparation o Removal of existing parking lot, baseball field areas, and associated materials within proposed soccer field footprint o Excavation of approximately 8-12 inches of existing material across both field areas o Proper disposal or on-site reuse of excavated material as approved by Owner o Rough grading to establish subgrade B. Soccer Fields o Fine grading to achieve proper drainage and a crowned (center high point) field profile o Fields shall include a center crown to promote positive drainage toward sidelines. The finished surface shall be constructed with an approximate 1%-1.5% slope from the centerline to each sideline unless otherwise approved by the Owner o Placement of minimum 4 inches of clean, debris-free topsoil suitable for athletic turf, free of rocks, roots, construction debris, and contaminants o Installation of athletic-grade sod C. Sod Maintenance and Grow-In Period o Contractor shall be responsible for watering, and maintaining all newly installed sod for a minimum of 60 days or until fully rooted and accepted by the Owner o Maintain consistent moisture to ensure proper rooting and turf health o Repair or replace any areas of sod that do not properly establish o Final acceptance will be based on full, healthy, and uniform turf coverage suitable for play D. Parking Lot (Gravel) o Utilize existing on-site gravel materials where suitable o Re-grading and shaping parking area o Placement and compaction of additional aggregate as needed o Final grading for proper drainage o Remove, salvage, and reinstall existing parking bumpers/wheel stops o Replace any damaged or missing parking bumpers with new units of similar type and size, included in base bid E. Walking Path (Gravel) o Construction of gravel path connecting the parking lot to existing baseball fields o Utilize existing on-site materials where feasible o Final grading and compaction for stable walking surface F. General Site Work o Erosion control o Site restoration o Coordination of all work components o Minimum 60-day watering and maintenance period o Replacement of failed sod
