Site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Phase 2 will upgrade and provide emergency backup power to the remaining buildings on campus, including the Fine Arts building, Daycare building, Library, Concert Hall, Music, Speech & Theater, Gillet Hall, Science building, and Apex. A new 2500kW generator will pick up the emergency loads from these existing buildings. Other existing loads that are currently on normal power will be added to the new generator system via optional standby ATS. These include loads such as portions of the chiller and boiler plant, assembly areas within the Apex building that can be used for emergency management, data closets, elevators, pumps and mechanical systems in each building to utilize steam for heating from the boiler plant, radio repeaters, and select research equipment that is not currently on backup power. This project will upgrade the existing generator infrastructure in the above listed buildings to bring the systems to current codes and increase capacity to connect existing and future loads to the generator system.
