Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Fairfax, Virginia. Conceptual plans call civil work for a road / highway, sidewalk / parking lot and transportation facility.
Fairfax County is soliciting pre-bid qualification applications for the construction of the Little River Turnpike Walkway (Eastbound) project. The project is proposed to extend a variable width walkway along the south side of Little River Turnpike between Hillbrook Drive and Little River Run Drive to have a continuous pedestrian travel path. The scope of work includes but is not limited to a 1,629 feet of walkway of variable width, ADA ramps, two concrete bus pads with shelters, street and pedestrian signal improvements at the intersection of Little River Turnpike and Evergreen/Hillbrook, storm sewer main and structure improvements along Little River Turnpike, replacement of approximately 844 feet of watermains, signage and markings, and 259 feet of retaining walls with sections requiring soldier piles. Only firms that have been pre-qualified are eligible to submit bids for this project. This is a unit price contract. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
