Remove the existing metal roofing and associated metal support structure (above the existing roof system). Remove the existing built-up (BUR) roof system down to the existing roof deck. Remove the existing perimeter metal edge fascia or other flashings/caps as required for the work. Install new insulation (flat and tapered) and fully-adhered EPDM membrane. Install new parapet walls, gable walls, etc. Install new perimeter metal edge fascia or other flashings/caps as designated or required for the project. Install new prefinished metal gutter, downspouts, and downspout extensions. Raise existing rooftop mechanical and/or electrical equipment as necessary to satisfy warranty requirements. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond valued at five percent (5%) of the proposer's maximum bid amount. Bids must include a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the Owner(s) or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Board of Education of the School District or the Superintendent of the School District. Bids must also include a sworn and notarized Affidavit of Compliance - Iran Economic Sanctions Act representing and warranting that the Contractor (including its officers, directors, and employees) is not an 'Iran linked business' within the meaning of the Iran Economic Sanctions Act, Michigan Public Act No. 517 of 2012. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bid proposals, either in whole or in part, to waive any informalities or irregularities, or to award the contract to other than the contractor(s) submitting the best financial bid proposal, in its sole and absolute discretion.
