Substantial coordination with Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is required to successfully complete the project. BURA, by and through the City of Brighton Division of Procurement & Contracts is accepting bids from qualified Respondents to furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, and materials as necessary for Construction of Hwy 7 and Hwy 85 Intersection Improvements stated herein this Invitation to Bid. General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Contractors License Required - FOB Destination - Installation Required - Insurance Required PROJECT SUMMARY: Located approximately within the intersection of Colorado State Highway 7 and US Highway 85 Brighton, Colorado, 80601, the project area includes approximately 5.5 acres including two roundabouts located along Colorado State Highway 7 (SH 7) and four (4) segments of landscape located north and south of the SH 7/US Highway 85 (US 85) roundabout interchange. All landscape areas are within the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) right-of-way. Landscape beds in all of the segments include two-tiered walls to reduce landscape slopes. Native seeding and wildflowers along slopes will act as both a soil stabilizer and showcase lower water use. Artful lighting underneath the US 85 bridge adds a layer of depth to the design and will significantly enhance the visual aspects of the overall scope of work. The final scope of work is the installation of a large gateway sign structure which shall be illuminated. Said structure will be located within the western roundabout. The existing CDOT signage shall remain in place.
