Renovation of a residential development in Lubbock, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The City of Lubbock, Community Development is seeking bids from qualified vendors for a minor rehabilitation to a single family residential home repair/remodel. Location- 2706 E 9th St Lubbock, TX 79403 Question Deadline 05/01/2026 at 5:00 PM CT Location : Online Portal For Information contact: Greg Daniel - Construction Inspection Specialist (806)775-2291 gregdaniel@mylubbock.us FIRE EXTINGUISHER-HOUSEHOLD Purchase and install a new 5-lb, UL APPROVED, ABC Multi-purpose, Dry Chemical household rechargeable fire extinguisher, to be placed under the kitchen sink. DEMOLITION - BATHROOM EXISTING CEILING SHEETROCK to REMAIN Remove bathtub and tub area wall covering. Remove all wall coverings to framing. Remove interior window trim and sill. Remove vanity light and ceiling fixture. Remove mirror. Remove lavatory sink. Remove toilet.Remove bath accessories. Remove all baseboard and floor coverings toslab and/or decking. INTERIOR DOOR - BATHROOM ENTRY HARDWARE STYLE to be BARREL with a SATIN NICKEL FINISH. Remove and replace existing bathroom door. Install a flat-panel, paint grade, pre-hung interior 2'-0" hollow core door. Contractor is to field measure to ensure proper sizing for the new door. Swing of door to match existing. Install securely, plumb, square and level. Include privacy hardware and door stop (hinge or baseboard). Hardware, hinge and door stop finish to match. Remove and replace door trim, both sides. Use material of like substance, style and dimension of existing (use of polyurethane, vinyl or similar materials prohibited). Prep and caulk door trim, both sides. Paint door and trim, both sides. Paint is to be of similar quality to Behr or Glidden. Match paint as closely as possible to the adjacent material color. SHEETROCK and PAINT EXISTING CEILING SHEETROCK to REMAIN Purchase and install new 1/2" thick sheetrock on all bathroom walls. Include all additional sheetrock patching within the bathroom walls and ceiling. Contractor shall completely remove, to sheetrock, the existing "POPCORN" ceiling texture. Contractor is to properly prep, protect, disconnect ceiling fixtures, wet, scrape, sand, etc., the entire ceiling area. Contractor shall properly apply a paint primer to the exposed ceiling sheetrock prior to applying new texture and paint. Tape, bed, texture and paint all bathroom walls and ceiling. New walls and ceiling texture to be "MEDIUM ORANGE PEEL". Paint is to be of similar quality to Behr or Glidden. Finish with 2-coats latex based paint. Use homeowner's choice of paint color and sheen for walls. Paint the ceiling white with a flat or matte sheen. INTERIOR WINDOW TRIM Remove and replace existing interior window trim, casing, sill, apron, etc.. Interior window trim shall be new PVC Moulding of like style and dimension to adjacent material. New interior trim to be installed properly to cover any exposed framing, underlayment, etc.. Contractor shall use 18 gauge brad nails to securely attach new trim. Nails must not "pucker", "mushroom", or blowout material. Contractor shall install a white color, silicone based caulk to all edges, seams, joints, gaps and nail holes. Including the outer edge of the trim that meets the wall covering. WINDOW to HAVE NO INTERIOR WOOD TRIM FAUX WOOD BLINDS: CORDLESS, WHITE 2" WIDE INSTALL ON THE FOLLOWING WINDOW: BATHROOM On the windows (labeled above) contractor shall purchase, cut to fit, and install 2" white cordless faux wood blinds. Contractor is to field measure the opening to ensure proper sizing for the new window blinds. Preferred mounting style is inside mount unless window reveal does not allow. Install securely, plumb, square and level. Install supplied matching valance and tilt wand. Manufacturers' operating instructions to be left with homeowner.
