Metro is seeking a qualified design firm to lead design and engineering services to advance Willamette Cove nature park consistent with the adopted master plan. The selected consultant team will prepare design and construction documents, specifications, cost estimates, and support Metro with permitting by providing permit level drawings, reports, quantities, and technical information. The consultant will also support Metro’s Construction Manager/General Contractor procurement and public engagement. The park design should consider operational requirements, efficiency, low impact development, and long-term sustainability. Park amenities include entry and parking lot, restroom facilities, shelter, gathering spaces, regional trail segment, site-based nature trails, viewpoints, water access, wayfinding, and habitat enhancements. The consultant will also support the integration of public art and interpretation delivered under a separate contract. Metro will lead archeology, public art and interpretation contracting and selection, and local, state, and federal permitting. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
