Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Ilion, New York. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 500,000-square-foot data center facility; and power facility.
Plans call for the redevelopment of the former Remington Arms manufacturing complex. The current land owner has been conducting feasibility studies for various land uses. All uses will first require Brownfield clean up, estimated between 40-80 million dollars. One of the proposed land uses is a potential data center containing two 250,000 square foot data halls and a 4-acre substation. TIMELINE: The State of New York has a one year moratorium on environmental permit reviews for data centers, which runs until July 2027. *Project information, including timeline and contacts, has been obtained through public sources.
