Electronic bids will be received for the Airport Community Storage Hangar project at The Ohio State University, Columbus, Franklin. The project will be conducted in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by Crawford Murphy and Tilly, Inc. Access to the project through the electronic bidding service requires registration and creation of a digital ID. There are no fees to register or to download bid documents, but there is a cost to submit a bid. Bidders may request consideration for proposed substitutions of specified products, equipment, or services no later than 10 days before bid opening. Bids must comply with the State of Ohio Standard Requirements for Public Facility Construction as included in the Contract Documents. The project is subject to Davis Bacon Prevailing Wage rates, Equal Employment Opportunity requirements, and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. The DBE goal for this contract is 0.0%. Additional requirements include compliance with Buy American Preference, BABA, and related Made in America laws; only iron, steel, and manufactured goods produced in the United States may be used unless otherwise excepted. Bidders are encouraged to be in good standing in a Drug-Free Safety Program approved by the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation and must provide information regarding such enrollment with their bid. Electronic bids will be received for the General Contract with a trade estimate of $2,489,000.00, with two additive alternates for adding a restroom at $50,000.00 and $18,000.00. The Contractor is responsible for project scheduling, coordinating subcontractors, and providing other services identified in the Contract Documents.
