Description

Site work and new construction of a civil project in Newton, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Catawba County is soliciting qualification statements from experienced engineering firms to provide services for a force main sanitary sewer conveyance system project. Services include the development of a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER), engineering design, permitting, project bidding and award, construction administration, and inspection services. The project consists of a conveyance system estimated to be between 22,000 and 61,000 linear feet, connecting the future Slanting Bridge Sanitary Sewer Lift Station to the existing Hickory-Catawba Wastewater Treatment Plant. The system will be designed to convey 1.5 MGD, expandable to 3.0 MGD. The project is anticipated to include work within and outside the NCDOT right-of-way.
