Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Edmond, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The intent of the following is to describe the Scope of Work included in each bid package. The bid shall include all the requirements in the specification sections listed unless specifically excluded below. There are three categories of bid packages--Labor and Material (L & M), Material only (M), and Labor and Equipment (L & E). (1) Labor and Material Bid Packages (L & M): Each separate package shall include all labor, materials, equipment, services, and incidentals required for a complete installation. The bid shall also include all General Condition items relative to each Scope of Work. Successful Labor Bid Package bidders must provide General Liability, Auto, and Workers' Compensation with a Certificate listing Additional Insured and Waiver of Subrogation in favor of the Owner, Architect, Construction Manager, and Funding Entity. (2) Material Only Bid Packages (M): Each separate package shall include all labor, materials, services, and incidentals required for complete fabrication, manufacture, and delivery to the project site of the materials included in the designated specification sections and drawings. (3) Labor and Equipment Bid Packages (L): Each separate proposal shall include all required labor and equipment to incorporate into the project specifically designated materials furnished by other bid packages. Successful Labor Bid Package bidders must provide General Liability, Auto, and Workers' Compensation with a Certificate listing Additional Insured and Waiver of Subrogation in favor of the Owner, Architect, Construction Manager, and Funding Entity. Project Location 901 Wayne Street - Edmond, OK 73034 215 W. Danforth Road - Edmond, OK 73003 Bid Bond: If a bid exceeds $50,000, a cashier's check, a certified check or surety bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid shall accompany the sealed bid of each bidder, designating the Edmond Public Schools and Dowell-Pontikos Construction as dual obligees. Security checks will be returned to all but the three lowest bidders after the bid opening. The three lowest bid securities will be retained as provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Bids received more than ninety-six (96) hours, excluding Saturday, Sundays and holidays, before the time set for opening of bids, as well as bids received after the time set for opening bids, will not be considered and will be returned unopened. The Owner/Construction Manager reserve the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all formalities or minor irregularities. The time period within which a Subcontract Agreement will be executed following award to the successful bidder is ten (10) days. Bidder must agree to commence work on a date to be specified in a written Notice to Proceed and the supplementary conditions and to achieve substantial and final completion in accordance with the Construction Manager's schedule, as revised from time to time. Bidder acknowledges and agrees that the actual damages to be suffered by Construction Manager in the event of delays is difficult, if not impossible, to determine with certainty. Therefore, Bidder agrees to pay liquidated damages in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500) for each consecutive calendar day beyond the date set forth for substantial completion in the Construction Manager's schedule. The Bidder also agrees to fully complete the punch list within thirty (30) consecutive calendar days after substantial completion. Bidder agrees to pay liquidated damages in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each consecutive calendar day beyond the date set forth for final completion. Bidder agrees that the daily rates of liquidated damages set forth herein represent reasonable estimates of the actual damages that could be suffered as a result of delays, and do not constitute a penalty. Schedule of completion is included in bid documents.
