The completed project shall improve mobility and connectivity within the City of Brighton as identified in the Transportation Master Plan. The Contractor shall ensure safe traffic circulation and access, including coordination with the adjacent 27J School District bus hub, which accommodates approximately 300 buses daily. Construction sequencing and staging shall minimize impacts to surrounding properties, traffic flow, and school transportation operations. Salient features of the project include but are not limited to: o Complete construction of the roadway in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner, including: o Earthwork and grading o Asphalt paving o Curb and gutter installation o Sidewalk construction o Water infrastructure upgrades o Stormwater detention pond construction Contractor responsibilities include but are not limited to: o Full compliance with City of Brighton Standards and Specifications, approved construction plans, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. o Furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, traffic control, materials, and all other inherent items necessary for the successful completion of the project work. o Construct and install drainage infrastructure and stormwater detention/quality pond. o Grade portions of the property as necessary to achieve the final design elevations and to remove minor debris. In addition, the City will utilize the material excavated from the construction of the new pond to backfill and eliminate as much of the existing pond as feasible, based on the volume of over-excavated material available. o Replace and upgrade water lines to meet City standards. o Install signage and pavement striping. o Complete landscaping and site restoration. o Coordinate with School District 27J transportation department to ensure safe and continuous access for school transportation.
