Sealed bids are requested for the Smoothie King Center Freight Elevator Modernization Project. The scope involves modernization of the freight elevator at the specified venue. Electronic bid documents are available for download at no charge. All bids must include bid security equal to five percent of the base bid and any alternates, in a form stipulated in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder must provide a Performance and Payment Bond as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Only contractors licensed in the classification of Building Construction under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 may submit bids. Bids cannot be withdrawn for forty-five days after submission except under certain provisions, and the Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. All other requirements are detailed in the bidding documents and relevant Louisiana statutes. Completion- (485) consecutive calendar days A. Modernization of one (1) elevators referenced in Section 00 02 00 above, including, but not limited to, the following new systems and components: 1. Traction Machines. 2. Operational Controls. 3. Door Operating Equipment. 4. Signal Fixtures. 5. Car Interior Finishes . B. Provide all labor, engineering, tools, transportation, services, supervision, materials, and equipment necessary for and incidental to satisfactory completion of required work as indicated in Contract Documents. C. Provide all required staging, hoisting and movement of new equipment, reused equipment, or removal of existing equipment. D. Warranty maintenance service. E. Applicable conditions of Owner's General, Special, and Supplemental Conditions. F. Prime contracts are defined below, and each is recognized to be a major part of required work to be performed concurrently in close coordination with work of other Contractors. Scope of Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Coordination, scheduling, and management of work of component suppliers and subcontractors. 2. Furnish and install equipment as specified, utilizing existing and/or modified hoistways and machine rooms.. 3. Specific item of required work which cannot be determined to be included in another contract is thereby determined to be included in prime contract. 4. Removal and disposal of any used hydraulic oil or other contaminated lubricants. Comply with all applicable Federal and Local Government requirements for disposal and documentation. 5. Coordinate installation of LAN cabling in hoistway and machine room. Include all costs in quotation including required time to assist with LAN cable installation. No additional fees will be accepted for coordination and assistance with cable installation by the electrical contractor.
