These include check testing and laboratory services related to asphalt mix, granular aggregate, soil, and salt materials; asphalt concrete mix design and testing for Ministry surfacing projects; preparation of asphalt concrete correlation samples and performance of appeals testing for End Product Specification (EPS) asphalt concrete projects; and training Ministry staff to conduct various asphalt mix and aggregate tests. The laboratory serving these functions must be within a 25-kilometer radius of 126 105th Street East, S7N 1Z3 in Saskatoon, to facilitate prompt delivery and testing of samples, especially for projects in central and northern Saskatchewan, where operational efficiency is critical.
