Site work for a stadium in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a stadium.
Following a review of the ice plant it was determined that the condenser and compressor are at end of life and require replacement within the next year to avoid malfunction (plant breakdown). The asset review shows the condenser is from 2012 and compressor is from 1992. The age of the compressor is of concern due to maintenance and repairs, as replacement parts are no longer being made and hard to acquire. The lead time can be up 7- 10 weeks when available. The dehumidifiers are also requiring replacement, the current ones were second hand when installed, but were also confirmed to be at end of life. The project is included in the City's 2026-2031 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of April 21, 2026, further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
