The work includes installing approximately 300 linear feet of 36-inch waterline under the Chagrin River and installing new valves, bends, and 30-inch ductile iron pipe to connect back to the existing 30-inch cast iron pipe waterline, and abandoning the old line under the river. All joints shall be restrained. All work under this contract shall be completed within 180 days of Notice to Proceed. Prospective bidders must purchase a Bidder's Package (1 full size set of plans and 1 specification book) for $20.00 in order to be considered a bidder. Payment for packages and additional plans and specification books will not be refunded. Bids must be accompanied by an original sealed document in the form of a bond for the full amount of the bid, or by a certified check, cashier's check, or irrevocable letter of credit equal to ten percent of the amount bid, drawn on a solvent bank located in Lake County and payable to the Treasurer of Lake County, Ohio, as surety that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured.
