Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Auburn, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Sealed bids are invited for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the completion of the East University Drive and Summertrees Drive Culvert Replacement. Approximate quantities include: 318 cubic yards of culvert concrete, 275 tons of coarse aggregate (ALDOT #2), 210 linear feet of removing 10' x 7' corrugated metal pipe, 92 tons of borrow excavation (#57 underwater backfill), 55,627 pounds of steel reinforcement, 4 portable impact attenuators, and 165 linear feet of ductile iron pipe water main. Bidders must be compliant with employment practices per the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act. The successful bidder is responsible for acquiring appropriate business licenses and permits. All instructions to bidders are to be followed in all respects. The City reserves the right to select the lowest responsible bidder, to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities in bids received. Bids must include a guarantee of at least five percent (not to exceed $10,000) of the amount bid, in the form of a certified or cashier's check or bid bond payable to the City of Auburn, Alabama. Bids remain valid for thirty days after opening.
