Site work for a mixed-use development in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Work under this Contract consists of site preparation and installation of underground municipal services for the proposed Port Coquitlam Multi-Sport Facility, to be located at 2265 Prairie Avenue. Note that this is a large site of only a portion is being developed. The location of the site is more accurately described at the intersection of Shaughnessy Street and Laurier Avenue. The intent of this phase is to prepare the site and provide the required base grades and servicing infrastructure to support subsequent surface works, which will be completed under a separate contract. The Work generally includes, but is not limited to, the following: Site mobilization, traffic control, and implementation of erosion and sediment control measures. Clearing and grubbing, removal of existing surface materials, and disposal of unsuitable materials as required. Stripping, stockpiling, and management of topsoil. Bulk earthworks including cut and fill operations to achieve rough grade across the site in accordance with the Contract Drawings. Subgrade preparation and proof rolling, including removal and replacement of unsuitable subgrade materials. Supply and installation of storm drainage infrastructure including storm piping, catch basins, manholes, channel construction, storm treatment, and storm detention. Supply and installation of sanitary servicing including sanitary sewer piping, manholes, and tie-ins to existing municipal infrastructure. Supply and installation of water servicing including watermain, valves, fittings, and restraints Supply and installation of service stubs and provisions for future connections required for subsequent surface works. Rough grading of the site to subgrade elevations for future parking areas, access routes, and landscaped areas. Temporary surface stabilization, as required, to maintain site safety and drainage prior to the next phase of construction. Supply and installation of electrical conduits Supply, installation, and commissioning of pole mounted luminaires (complete with poles, bases, wiring, conduits, and connections) This Contract does not include final surface works. A separate contractor will be retained by the Owner following completion of this Work to undertake finish grading, parking lot gravels, curbs, paving, concrete works, landscaping, and other surface improvements.
