The Town of Fairfield is requesting bids for the 2026 Paving Project involving paving on North Road and the intersection of Chester A. Arthur Road. This contract will be for either project option 1 or project option 2. Bidders are required to provide an estimate for both projects, knowing only one will be chosen. For each project, include total tons of Type IV, total tons of Type III, estimated total quantity, unit price for each road, and the total bid price. Project Option 1 includes machine paving with new asphalt on North Road (about 4,940 feet x 24' wide) with 3/4" leveling course and 1.5" wearing course, all Type 4, as well as paving on Chester A. Arthur Road (about 230 feet from the end of the road) with the same specifications. Project Option 2 includes machine paving with new asphalt on North Road (about 10,200 feet x 24' wide) with 3/4" leveling course and 1.5" wearing course, all Type 4, and paving on Chester A. Arthur Road (about 235 feet from the end of the road) with the same specifications. Final completion of the chosen option is required by September 30, 2024. Instructions to bidders: Sealed bids must include both Paving Project Option 1 and Option 2, be clearly marked on the outside with the words "Paving Bid," and be received at the Town Municipal Offices by the specified deadline.
