Letters of Interest and qualification statements will be received for architectural and engineering design services for the renovation of approximately 8,700 square feet of the First Floor of the Hall Building (formerly the Campus Bookstore) at the Central Campus of Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC. The project will be delivered via the public bid process. Services include but are not limited to architectural design services (schematics, design development, construction documents, permitting, bidding and award, construction administration and project close-out) as well as related engineering design services (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection). The owner will engage separate consultants for IT, security, and AV design scopes. Coordination with these consultants and with the owner’s furniture vendor for workstation placement and related utilities is required. Interior room signage using college standards is included. The project will be delivered using a standard design-bid-build approach. Renovations will include new private offices, open office workstations, conference, break, and work rooms. The RFQ submission must include a Letter of Interest (max 2 pages) and a Qualifications Statement (max 14 pages one side or 7 pages two-sided). Submit three hard copies and one digital copy (pdf format). Submissions must be on 8.5”x11” pages, stapled in the upper left corner. To offer architectural, engineering, or landscape architectural services, firms must be properly licensed in the State of North Carolina. Please address each selecting criteria in order in your response: appropriate expertise and past performance, proposed staff and consultant team, related construction administration capabilities, proximity to and familiarity with the project location, record of completed projects, prior experience with Central Piedmont CC, HUB participation, and other relevant factors.
