Site work for a civil project in Catskill, New York. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
The work consists of providing engineering services for the Hamlet of Cementon, Town of Catskill, under a potential Office of Community Renewal Small Cities CDBG project. The project will include Phase 2 sanitary sewer collection and treatment improvements within the Town of Catskill Sewer District #4, including upgrades to the wastewater treatment plant and sanitary sewer pump stations in the hamlet. Specific tasks involve replacing 2 feet of sand media on each of the filter beds at the WWTP, replacing distribution piping across the top of the beds, improving the disinfection system and dosing equipment, and installing new pumps for the pump stations with redundancy, emergency power, control panels, and SCADA with call-out functionality. Engineering services required include design, preparation of bid specifications, assistance with bidding, construction administration, inspection services, and preparation of as-built drawings. Bidders must submit seven printed copies of their qualifications statements and one digital PDF copy on a thumb drive. Evaluation will be based on relevant experience, staffing capacity, ability to meet the project deadline, and understanding of the scope as detailed in a work plan. The Town encourages responses from Minority and Women Business Enterprises and Section 3 business concerns.
