The work consists of the Huey Miller Road Reconstruction and Overlay Project in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, identified as CALCASIEU PARISH PROJECT NO. 26-107-0007. Bidders must submit sealed bids electronically, as paper bids will not be accepted. Electronic bidding requires both the use of the InfoTech Express Sign Tool and an InfoTech Digital ID for the business' authorized signer. Bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, including all alternates, must accompany each bid and must be submitted as an electronic bid bond. The successful bidder must provide a Performance and Payment Bond, each for 100% of the contract amount. Only contractors licensed for "Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction" as per LSA--R.S. 37:2150-2163 are eligible to bid. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause. Preference is given to materials, supplies, and provisions produced, manufactured, or grown in Louisiana if quality is equal. Bidders are instructed to comply with all electronic bid submission requirements and are responsible for ensuring their ability to use the required electronic bidding service prior to the deadline. All bids must be accompanied by appropriate electronic bid security, and successful bidders must provide the required bonds. The public incurs no obligation until the contract is fully executed.
