Project : A 1.4 miles long by 24 ' average width section of the Stratton-Arlington Rd . from 688 StrattonArlington Rd . (the Town Hall ) northwestto the top of the hill ( 1.4 miles). Full -depth Reclaim , Grade and Compact approx .. 18,837 sq. yds. Cold Plane 4" - 7064 ' x 22 ' = approx . 18,837 sq. yds . Pave 2½ " (Type 2 Base) and 1 ½" Top ( 1.5" of Type 4 asphalt - 50 gyrations - 58/28 liquid ) approx .. 4,186 tons . No recycled asphaltproduct in mix design. Emulsion RS- 1 shall be applied prior to placementof bituminous concrete over existing pavement. The use of a distributor truck at a rate of 0.025 gallons per square yard is required . Surface and base mixture must conform to the current requirements of the State of Vermont , Agency of TransportationSpecifications , Section406. Bid prices shall be per ton and include hauling and placing material , signing and traffic control during placing operation and preparatory compaction . Gravel Shoulders : 2' wide , 4" deepboth sides of road for 1.4 miles (total) approx. 345 tons). The Town of Strattonis seekingbids for paving to be completedby August 30, 2026.
