Project Description: The Cobble Mountain Hydroelectric Powerhouse Crane is a Double Girder, Top Running Bridge Crane With a Single Main Hook of 45-ton Rated Capacity, Manufactured by Manning, Maxwell and Moore, INC., Shaw-box Crane and Hoist Division. It is Used for Handling Larger Components Within the Powerhouse, as Well as Hoisting Equipment Up From the Lower Gallery to the Main Powerhouse Floor. The Crane Was Originally Designed With a 40-ton Rated Capacity and Uprated to 45-ton to Accommodate a Heavier Pick. The Bridge Crane's Trolley Houses the Major Hoisting Equipment Items, Including the Motor, Gearbox, Drums and Associated Bull Gear, Hoist Brake, Trolley Drive Including Idler Bogies, Structural Frame, and Miscellaneous Shafting and Bearings. The Existing Crane Shall Be Removed and Replaced and Will Operate on the Existing Runway and Rail With Minor Modifications.
