Note: Firms Who Attended the Pre-bid Meeting Held on April 1, 2026 for Swsc Ifb No. 26-28 Are Not Required to Attend This Meeting. Project Description: The Cobble Mountain Hydroelectric Powerhouse Crane is a Double Girder, Top Running Bridge Crane With a Single Main Hook of 45-ton Rated Capacity, Manufactured by Manning, Maxwell and Moore, INC., Shaw-box Crane and Hoist Division. It is Used for Handling Larger Components Within the Powerhouse, as Well as Hoisting Equipment Up From the Lower Gallery to the Main Powerhouse Floor. The Crane Was Originally Designed With a 40-ton Rated Capacity and Uprated to 45-ton to Accommodate a Heavier Pick. The Bridge Crane's Trolley Houses the Major Hoisting Equipment Items, Including the Motor, Gearbox, Drums and Associated Bull Gear, Hoist Brake, Trolley Drive Including Idler Bogies, Structural Frame, and Miscellaneous Shafting and Bearings. The Existing Crane Shall Be Removed and Replaced and Will Operate on the Existing Runway and Rail With Minor Modifications. The Swsc Reserves the Right to Waive Any Informality in, or to Revoke, Any or All Bids, if in the Public Interest to Do So. In Accordance With Section 44d of Chapter 149 of the General Laws of Massachusetts as Amended, the Prospective General Bidders Must Submit With Their Bid, a Certificate of Eligibility Issued by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (Dcamm), Showing That the Bidder Has Been Approved to Bid on Projects of the Size and Nature as Advertised Herein. The Dcamm Certificate of Eligibility to Be Submitted by the General Bidder Shall Be for the Category of Work Defined as "Mechanical Systems". Prospective General Bidders Must Also Submit an Updated Statement Summarizing Their Record for the Period Between the Latest Dcamm Certificate and the Date of the Bid Submittal.
