Paving and renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Lowell, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Project Number 26-74 Estimated Cost $2,100,000 Contractor Qualification Highway Division Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Seeking bidders for various bridge maintenance repairs, including but not limited to joints, decks, paving, etc. The bidder will need to be MassDOT qualified for bridge construction. SCOPE OF WORK The work under this Contract consists of various bridge maintenance repairs to City owned bridges within the City of Lowell. The Contractor shall perform repairs at scheduled locations and on an as-needed emergency basis. For the scheduled repairs, the Contractor shall receive engineering drawings from the Citys OnCall engineer, or the City may request that the Contractor procure the services of a qualified engineer registered within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to generate repair drawings that will be reviewed by the Citys Engineer. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis. The type and method of bridge repairs shall be generally consistent with what is shown in the MassDOT DRAFT Maintenance and Preservation Manual and the repair sketches provided within this package (Appendices B-G).
