Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Caldwell, Idaho. Completed plans call for the construction of a 1,000-square-foot water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project involves the construction and commissioning of DAFT Room No. 2, approximately 1000 sq. ft. and roughly 18 ft. tall, including supporting site, structural, and process improvements. The work includes selective demolition and excavation for new foundations, construction of the DAFT tank foundation and floor slab, installation of a fully welded, watertight DAFT tank, and completion of subgrade piping and structural penetrations for integration with existing and future above-grade systems. Yard improvements include roadway realignment, paving, grading, sidewalks, and protective bollards, along with completion of the building enclosure. The project also requires installation of a complete DAFT No. 2 treatment system, including new sludge pumps, process piping, valves, electrical and control systems, HVAC, plumbing, and a new polymer dosing system. Additional process and utility upgrades must be completed within the Blower/Solids Handling Building. All work must comply with contract documents, be substantially complete by specified dates, and made fully operational. All necessary materials, equipment, labor, taxes, permits, and incidentals must be provided by the contractor. Email: aschoonen@cityofcaldwell.org Instructions to bidders include: - All proposals must be submitted electronically through the City's OpenGov Procurement portal. - A valid Idaho Public Works License is required and must be included in the bid. - Bid security of 5% of the bid amount in the form of a bid bond or certified check must accompany each proposal. - The contractor must furnish payment and performance bonds equal to the contract amount upon award. - Bidders must examine contract documents, visit the site, and consider applicable laws and regulations before submitting a bid. - The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the work. - Subcontractor lists must be provided as required by law. Failure to comply may render the bid non-responsive. - Bidders must upload all required forms, licenses, and bond documents with their submission. - Bids will remain subject to acceptance for thirty days after bid opening. - Successful bidders must sign the agreement and provide required bonds and insurance within ten days after Notice of Award.
