Site work and new construction of a transportation facility in Tylertown, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the construction of a 6,500-square-foot transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.
Sealed bids will be received for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment and performing all work necessary to complete the construction of a new 6,500 sq. ft. hangar and all associated work at Paul Pittman Memorial Airport. The contract performance time is 150 working days from the date of the Notice-to-Proceed, with all project work to be substantially completed within this timeframe. The project is subject to liquidated damages outlined in the project manual. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid guaranty equal to 5% of the total bid amount, in the form of a certified check or bid bond. The successful bidder must provide separate performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the contract price, at contract execution. All proposals will be evaluated and may be held for up to 60 days for evaluation purposes. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, though the right is reserved to reject any and all bids or waive informality. Award is contingent on receiving Federal funding assistance under the Airport Improvement Program. The project requires compliance with federal provisions, including Equal Employment Opportunity Executive Order 11246, minority and female participation goals (27.7% for minorities, 6.9% for females), certification of nonsegregated facilities, and the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise goal of 9.3%. The Davis-Bacon Act wage and labor standards apply, and all bidders must certify regarding debarment, foreign trade restrictions, and Buy American requirements. Proposals must be submitted on the provided Bid Forms. Bids may be submitted in person or electronically through the specified website. No oral, telegraphic, telephonic, or email proposals will be accepted. Envelopes containing bids must be sealed and properly addressed and labeled with the contract proposal information. Additional instructions for submittal are provided in the Instructions-to-Bidders section. Project no- 1471C455 Question Deadline 04/29/2026 A bidder requiring a clarification or interpretation of the project documents shall make a written request to the Owner or Engineer. The Owner or Engineer must receive the written request a minimum of seven (7) calendar days prior to the date of the bid opening.
