1. General Responsibilities The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and incidentals necessary to complete the project in a professional and workmanlike manner. The Contractor shall be fully responsible for means and methods of construction and for coordinating all phases of the work. All work shall comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, codes, ordinances, and regulations. 2. Protection of Public and Traffic Control The project is located within the existing right-of-way of the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT). All work shall be performed in accordance with the approved SCDOT Construction Encroachment Permit and applicable state and local requirements. Prior to the start of any excavation or ground disturbing activities, the Contractor shall contact South Carolina PUPS (SC PUPS - 811) and coordinate utility locates in compliance with the South Carolina Underground Facility Damage Prevention Act.
