The selected subcontractor will provide rigging for consultant and state inspection teams throughout NYSDOT’s Region 9, covering Broome, Chenango, Delaware, Otsego, Schoharie, Sullivan, and Tioga Counties. The subcontractor must provide all labor, materials, machinery, tools, and access equipment needed for the 2026-2027 Biennial & Interim Bridge Inspection. The equipment will assist WSP USA Inc. and NYSDOT personnel, or their designee, during the inspection of bridges. Bidders must consider the complexity, personnel, materials, equipment, site safety, permits, and time required to perform the work, including handling human cargo near fixed or movable structures. All personnel must have necessary certifications and be able to communicate clearly and effectively. The subcontractor is responsible for all materials and equipment required for rigging operations at each bridge site. All equipment and procedures must meet the minimum requirements of the New York State Department of Transportation Standard Specifications and applicable NYSDOT guidelines and directives. Interested parties may request a bid package for further details. WSP reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities, invite new bids, and disregard nonconforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids. Proposals must conform to the Bid Documents and be submitted in a sealed, labeled envelope by the specified deadline. Late proposals will be returned unopened. Insurance requirements are specified in the Bid Documents. WSP will procure all necessary permits. All communications must be directed through the designated contact. Contact with other NYSDOT or WSP employees without direction from Contract Management may result in disqualification.
