Sealed bids are invited for the Transportation Improvements & Associated Projects, Phase 3 project. Bids must be submitted on the forms provided. The Contract Documents, which include Plans, Information for Bidders, Bid Form, Specifications, and related documents, can be reviewed at designated locations or obtained upon payment. Site visitation is required for bidders in preparing their bids. Bidders must be properly licensed for Highway, Street & Bridge Construction or Heavy Construction or related classifications. Bid security must be deposited with each bid according to the specified conditions. Sureties used for bonds must be approved per U.S. Department of Treasury Circular 570. Bidders may withdraw their bids within 48 hours of bid opening, excluding certain days, as governed by Louisiana law. Questions must be submitted in writing to the Project Engineer at least five days before bid opening; addenda will be issued as needed. Preference is given to Indian and Alaska Native contractors, defined as Indian-owned enterprises with at least 51% ownership and active control, provided their bid does not exceed the lowest by more than 5%. Contractors claiming Indian Preference must provide satisfactory evidence to qualify. Special accommodations for persons with disabilities must be requested in advance.
