Site work and paving for a road / highway in Reading, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for paving for a road / highway.
Separate sealed bids will be received in duplicate for the Annual Paving Project, consisting of the following contracts: Contract A – Milling and Installation of Superpave Material; Contract B – Paving of Walking Path (Dietrich Park). All bidders submitting bids must register and purchase a complete set of the bid documents. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or surety company's bid bond in the amount of ten percent of the total bid submitted. Wages paid are subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Compliance with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act is required if the contract exceeds $100,000. All contracts exceeding $10,000 must comply with Executive Order 11246, "Equal Employment Opportunity," as amended. Contractors must comply with the "Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment Clause" as required by Pennsylvania Executive Order 2016-05. Contractors and their subcontractors must be pre-qualified by PennDOT for the specified project work. The township reserves the right to waive informalities, reject any or all bids, and delete any item or portion thereof without affecting bids on the remaining items.
