The NHA owns, operates and maintains approximately 4,952 units of public housing for low-income tenants consisting of high-rise elderly complexes as well as low rise and townhouse projects. Approximately 4,243 units of this Housing stock is occupied with the remaining vacant units scheduled for either renovation, major rehabilitation, or demolition/replacement of suitable new units. The NHA has nineteen (19) housing projects. Eight (8) of these are designated as senior disabled elderly housing, three (3) are low-rise sites, and eight (8) are townhouse complexes.
