The objective is to add touchless ADA door operators to select doors inside building 47. Building 47 was built without handicapped operators in certain locations. Adding these will add ease of access to handicapped personnel. The contractor shall provide all material and equipment to install handicapped operators, one per each set of double doors, per the provided plans. Two touchless handicapped activators must be provided for each door. Power for all devices can be obtained by nearby outlets. Surface mounting of electrical conduit, wiring, etc. is not permitted. For the first-floor doors, a full lite kit with internal mini blinds must be added to each identified door as shown in the drawings; this may require purchasing a new door, removing the lite kit, and installing it into existing doors. The lite kit must be powder coated. Dispose of the new doors after removal of the lite kit. The contractor must own or control a bona fide place of business within 125 miles of Defense Supply Center Richmond, regularly maintain an office with at least one full-time employee, and include this address in the offer. The contractor must have 5 years' experience working in the areas described. The contract completion date is no later than 75 days after notice to proceed. Partial proposals are not accepted. Disclosure of magnitude: the estimated magnitude of the award is between $150,000.00 - $200,000.00.
