Dismantle equipment from the transformer tank. Any dismantling performed shall be for the purpose of safe transportation of equipment. Onsite demolition is prohibited. a. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to provide and assume the cost of all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, supplies, disposal, etc. required for dismantling. b. The City shall disconnect any electrical conductor connected to any element outside of the transformer prior to the dismantling of the unit. c. Ownership of the equipment shall transfer from the City to the Contractor once disassembly of any portion of the transformer begins, or once the Contractor attaches any lifting equipment to the transformer, whichever comes first. B. Removal of the transformer shall be performed using existing substation exit points without damaging any substation equipment or perimeter fencing. Should any damage occur at the fault of the Contractor, it will be the Contractor's responsibility to repair or secure services to repair the damage to the City's satisfaction. All costs for such repairs will be borne by the Contractor. C. Transportation and its related costs shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. D. The Contractor shall procure any required traffic control. E. Removal and disposal of mineral oil shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. a. Contractor shall not drain, dump, or purposely spill any oil during the removal of the transformer. This includes oil from the transformer and equipment used during the removal process, including hydraulic systems. Oil contaminated materials will not be allowed to be placed on unprotected soil. b. All oil spilled will be remediated to State and City standards at the Contractor's expense. F. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to ensure all equipment and oil is disposed of properly adhering to all applicable laws and regulations. G. Any permits and fees shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. H. The high voltage bus of the substation will remain energized at 115 kV, and the Contractor is responsible for operating safely while maintaining Minimum Approach Distances. The Contractor shall be responsible for ensuring only qualified personnel trained on performing work in high voltage environments are assigned to this project. The Contractor must, at their own cost, provide their personnel with the following PPE at minimum: a. Hardhat b. Safety glasses c. Steel-toed or composite-toed footwear d. High visibility vests or outerwear e. Appropriate outer clothing for the work being performed I. Working hours for this project will be from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. MT, Monday through Friday.
