The project is the Jay County Jr/Sr High School Site Renovation, which includes tennis, water lines, and sidewalks. All bidding and construction must follow the construction documents prepared by Barton-Coe-Vilamaa, Architect and Engineers, Inc. Bidders must file a certified check payable to Jay School Corporation or a Bid Bond for no less than five percent (5%) of their maximum bid with their bids. Successful bidders must provide an approved Performance Bond, a Labor and Materials Payment Bond covering the faithful performance of the contract and payment of all related obligations, and a Maintenance Bond. These bonds are required to remain in effect for twelve months from the substantial completion of the work. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who complies with the bidding conditions, provided the bid is reasonable and in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids in accordance with Indiana Code 36-1-12. Bids not received by the stated deadline will be returned unopened to the original bidder.
