Sunset Valley is requesting Bids from qualified vendors with experience in installing large water meters. The work will include the labor to remove the old meter, installation of the new meters, all supplies and tools to install these meters, connection of AMI endpoints, restoring the area to its previous status. General Requirements - Contractors License Required - Employee Background Checks Required - Installation Required - Insurance Required - License Required - Local Service Required - Onsite Maintenance Required - Training Required Award Requirements - All or None Award Scope of work includes the following: o Remove 27 existing meters and install new meters that will be provided by the City of Sunset Valley. Below are pictures of the meter vaults and meters to be replaced. o Repair and replace anything damaged or deemed necessary during the removal/installation process including but not limited to flanges, gaskets, stands, reducers, and additional pipe. o Provide all traffic control as needed. o Perform test shutoff and bypass functionality prior to replacement. o Some work will take place at night to avoid disturbing local businesses. o Maintain a clean and safe worksite. Contractor and all of their employees shall follow all City and Contractor safety policies. o Contractor to remove any and all trash and debris from work site each day. o Return customers property to like condition as existed before the meter change. Contractor to supply all materials needed for these repairs. o Return all City-owned property, rights-of-way, streets, sidewalks ect. to like condition as existed before the meter change out. Contractor to supply all materials needed for these repairs. o Maintain communication with City staff, providing daily updates of work locations, changes to project schedule or other issues that may develop during the project. o Contractor staff to wear identification showing company name and supply contact information should a customer request it. o Contractor will warranty workmanship for a period of one year. o Return all meters that have been removed to the Public Works office at 3203 Jones Road.
