Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) is seeking a qualified and experienced contractor to provide comprehensive elevator maintenance services for its facilities. The selected contractor will be responsible for the regular inspection, maintenance, repair, and emergency services of a single hydraulic passenger elevator located at 2000 Grand Street, Alameda, CA, to ensure its safe and efficient operation. The scope of work includes full preventive maintenance, corrective repairs commencing upon approved estimates, and 24/7 emergency response with required documentation and corrective actions. The contractor must ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations, including CCR Title 8 – Elevator Safety Orders, Cal/OSHA, and ASME A17.1/CSA B44 Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators. Regular quarterly and annual inspections and maintenance are required, as well as detailed documentation and reporting. Minimum performance standards include a 98% uptime target and non-emergency response times within 24–48 hours. All work must be performed by a Certified C-11 Elevator Contractor. The contract term is five years and requires submission of pricing for quarterly and annual maintenance, on-call service, and emergency response. The contractor must submit insurance verification and be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations and hold a current City of Alameda business license. Bidders must review all provided materials, specify pricing per the stated structure, and ensure compliance with all outlined requirements. Exceptions or edits to the attached sample construction agreement must be clearly noted. AMP may consider any deviation non-responsive at its discretion. Bidders are required to submit a Local Business Affidavit (optional), Non-Collusion Declaration, and Statement of Qualification Questionnaire with their bid. Bids must be submitted electronically by the deadline via the specified Bid Portal. Contractors and any subcontractors must be registered and provide proof of licensure.
